Getting children back into school after emergencies
Save the Children in the Philippines is part of Save the Children International – the world’s leading independent organization for children.
From the Philippines to Ethiopia to Brazil, we support children through our programs in 120 countries around the world. We work together to share expertise, coordinate activities and pool resources, which means we can extend our reach and impact for children.
As a result, we improved the lives of more than 143 million children and directly reached 52 million children around the world in 2013.
In order to achieve this common goal, we all share a global vision, purpose and set of values which help us to deliver the best outcomes for children around the world.
Our vision is a world in which every child attains the right to survival, protection, development and participation.
Our purpose is to inspire breakthroughs in the way the world treats children and to achieve immediate and lasting change in their lives.
Across all our program work, we incorporate the following core values:
Our role in the Philippines
In the Philippines, our global initiatives also serve to underpin and drive our work as Save the Children manages and implements programs that assist Filipino children in 3 regions. By directly delivering programs and supporting children and their families in their communities, we are making the most impact for children’s education, health, child protection, and assisting children in emergencies.
