Getting children back into school after emergencies
The goal of this challenge is to raise awareness on the importance of the first 1,000 days and gather support for Save the Children’s nutrition program through the #1000ChallengePH. We aim to reach the target of one thousand 1,000’s in one thousand hours. The challenge begins on July 12, 8pm and will end on August 23, 12nn.
A child’s first 1,000 days is considered as the “golden window of opportunity” and we thank you for helping us spread awareness and fight against malnutrition. To take on the #1000ChallengePH, follow these steps.
- Select your baby picture and use it as your profile photo on Facebook!
- Use this as your caption and tag at least 3 friends to ask them to do the #1000ChallengePH:
"I just took on the #1000ChallengePH because I want to help put an end to malnutrition. Good nutrition during the child's first 1,000 days (from conception to a child’s second birthday) is crucial to a child’s cognitive and physical development. I was challenged by @FriendWhoChallengedYou, and now I challenge @your3friends to do the #1000ChallengePH and help @Save the Children Philippines reach every last child. #LahatDapat http://scph.at/1000ChallengePH"
- Head over to Save the Children on SimplyGiving to contribute your 1,000!
Again, thank you for taking on this challenge. Your participation will support our Community-based Management of Acute Malnutrition program. This provides interventions on infant and young child feeding, maternal newborn and reproductive health, child protection and food security in order to rehabilitate children suffering from malnutrition.
