In a crisis, preparation is the most powerful thing we can do together.
Be One of The First To Respond During Emergencies!
As natural disasters and conflicts threaten hundreds of thousands of Filipino children’s lives and well-being every year, we need to be prepared. The first few hours after a disaster are critical. It is life or death. By being on the ground quickly, we can help ensure that children and their families get the life-saving aid, food, water and protection that they need.

Teachers in Medellin and Daanbantayan, Cebu are helping children recover through play, reflection, and care.
With support from Save the Children, 30 public school teachers joined a Psychological First Aid Training to guide their learners in expressing emotions, rebuilding confidence, and finding hope after the 6.9 magnitude earthquake.
Other activities like positive sharing, art therapy, relaxation exercises, and group games in their schools and communities followed, to advocate the normalcy that children need to process and get their development back on track.[1.1]
More than just a training, this initiative also emphasizes the importance of teacher wellness.
“As teachers, we also need healing so we can better comfort our learners. This training reminded us that before we teach again, we must first listen, care, and understand," teacher Anna Bella said.
When emergencies strike, children’s education is disrupted affecting their learning and safety.
Six months after the devastating 6.9 earthquake in northern Cebu, children in Sitio Kansaguibo, Tabuelan can now safely return to learning. Save the Children Philippines in partnership with the Department of Education and with the support of Ericsson, Lifestrong Marketing Inc., Mars Wrigley, Sony, and Sun Life, Save the Children Philippines officially turned over a Learning Continuity Space in Kansaguibo Elementary School.
Establishing a Learning Continuity Space helps ensure that children can continue learning in a safe and child-friendly environment, reducing the risk of prolonged learning loss following the earthquake. The intervention also supports the broader recovery of the local education system in Northern Cebu by strengthening school-level preparedness and protecting children’s right to continuous education during emergencies.
Ensuring that children can return to learning quickly is not just a response, but an investment in their resilience, their future, and the recovery of entire communities.
A classroom rebuilt in Cebu. A teacher who learned to listen before she taught again. These are the things that last. If your company believes in a humanitarian response that goes beyond relief — one that gives Filipino children back their safety, their learning, and their future — we'd like to build that with you.
