Emergency Partnership

Get Involved

Save the Children is a global and national leader in child-focused humanitarian response, including lifesaving relief, recovery programs and local emergency preparedness. Our worldwide presence, decades of on-the-ground expertise and ability to quickly adapt to changing conditions sets us apart. Supporting Save the Children’s humanitarian programs allows corporate partners to help communities mitigate the impact of a crisis before it even occurs, emerge as leaders in the wake of a disaster, as well as reach employees or consumers who may be affected.

The first few hours after a disaster are critical. The faster we can respond to disasters, the more lives we can save. Together, we can ensure that life-saving resources are available through Fund to SAVE (Secure Access to Vital Emergency resources) so we are prepared even before the disaster strikes.

Disaster-Preparedness Saves Lives

Be One of The First To Respond During Emergencies!

As natural disasters and conflicts threaten hundreds of thousands of Filipino children’s lives and well-being every year, we need to be prepared. The first few hours after a disaster are critical. It is life or death. By being on the ground quickly, we can help ensure that children and their families get the life-saving aid, food, water and protection that they need.

FEATURED ENGAGEMENT: Mayon Volcano Eruption

Mayon Volcano Eruption Displaces Children and Their Families

The June 13 Mayon volcano eruption has forced more than 19,000 residents, including small children, to take refuge in 22 evacuation centers in Albay province. The Mayon volcano remains under Alert Level 3, which indicates high level of volcanic unrest that could drive additional eruptions, with an estimated 9,338 families or 36,814 persons affected in 26 barangays in Albay province. The Department of Education also estimates that 47 schools, 18,574 learners, 772 teaching personnel, and 109 non-teaching personnel will be affected.

Save the Children Philippines has deployed its humanitarian response team to Albay, and has provided assistance for children and their families through multipurpose cash assistance, psychosocial support, and support for learning continuity for affected learners.
