What do you want to be when you grow up?

Meet Jackie, a teenager from Leyte who wants to be social worker. Her mission? To help children affected by emergencies.
Save the Children met Jackie through our Project CHARGE, which trains students on children’s rights in times of disasters.
Help us reach even more children! Your support goes a long way, from protecting children like Jackie to making their dreams finally come true.

Find out what inspired her to take on this mission.

Post-disasters, Project CHARGE also wants children and their families to stay capable, resilient, and independent.

We want to empower children for them to be able to protect themselves better.

The children we trained then share their skills and knowledge with their peers – ultimately, creating stronger and smarter communities.

The goal is to strengthen community participation in disaster preparedness and local governance.
